Who You Are
We are looking to hire Computer Science and Information Technology graduates to join our dynamic engineering team. You will be a part of a global software engineering team, working remotely, and will play a key role in enabling our data-driven strategy.
As a Data QA Engineer, you’ll work closely with Developers, your Engineering Manager, Business Analysts, and Data Scientists as you help ensure the best in class quality, security and reliability for the systems we build. What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to design and develop automated QA processes to ensure timely, robust, and high-quality data and ETL processes
- Validate functional and non-functional requirements with a focus on data, automated data pipelines, and APIs
- Evangelize and promote data QA while establishing best practices and standards
- Develop manual and automated test cases
- Work with analysts and SMEs to document data processes and define data attributes
- Help develop and support governance processes to ensure data compliance (e.g., PII, GDPR, CCPA)
- Develop, track, & monitor data quality metrics and KPIs
- Ensure data completeness, consistency, uniqueness, timeliness, validity, and accuracy through manual analysis and automated processes
- Determine data requirements (permissible values, ranges, types) for key data quality dimensions
- Clean data and improve data handling processes
- Conduct ad-hoc data analysis and ETLs to support data science and engineering workflows
- Collaborate with UI/UX front-end developers to support robust data input processes
- Research, assess, and validate internal & external data sources
What You Will Need:
- BTech in Computer Science or MCA.
- Excellent working knowledge of SQL (analytics)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Data analysis and data visualization
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience as a QA Engineer
- Experience developing unit tests, integration tests, smoke tests, regression tests, and feature tests
- Working experience with relational databases like (Postgres/SQL Server/Snowflake etc)
- Ability to write SQL queries and create datasets
- Good understanding of REST APIs and modern Web Applications.
- Nice to have test automation and scripting tools like Selenium, Jmeter, Locust etc.
- A good grasp on any one programming language (Python, Go, Java)
- Nice to haves: AWS, Snowflake, Python
